I had the Ray Bradbury experience recently when I was creating a character for a D&D game I'm joining out here. Well, technically it's a Pathfinder game, which is a fork of the now open source 3.5 rules. I went to sleep thinking about the character, and dreamed what she did and how she came to be as I woke up.

Incidentally, I'm looking forward to this RPG as an exercise in character development and becoming comfortable with acting and being someone else. Not that I see myself becoming an actor, but it's just another experience I can have, you know?

I have flown a whole lot more than necessary, as you know, so I'm a little jaded. I still sit by the window though, and I still look out.

Re: Flight

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I love to fly. I always sit by the window if possible, and if not I am sad.

I spend huge chunks of every flight just gazing out the window. Being up in the clouds is so overwhelmingly beautiful to me, while simultaneously making me sad that I can't actually be in them touching them, I usually get teary at some point in an airplane.
